Recent News // Unplugged corners of Muskegon County studied in Internet access survey

Tuesday, January 05, 2016

MANISTEE NATIONAL FOREST, MI – Rural Muskegon County residents who can't get broadband Internet access are the subject of a new survey conducted to establish the case for better access.

Muskegon County Economic Development Coordinator Jonathan Wilson said broadband access is important because it affects residents' quality of life and often is a consideration for businesses looking for places to set up shop.

The survey is being conducted through Jan. 29 by the nonprofit Connect Michigan, which has a grant from the Michigan Public Service Commission to help expand broadband Internet access across the state.
