FirstNet Opens Innovation and Test Lab

The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) has opened an innovation and test lab at its technical headquarters in Colorado. This state-of-the-art laboratory will be the site for testing of features, device functionality, and apps of the future nationwide public safety communications network. The test lab is expected to help reduce the time it will take to field test and deploy the various public safety features of the dedicated LTE communications network for first responders.
