Search Engine Optimization Workshop to be Held in Ogemaw County

By Wil Payton

Most Michigan businesses have a website and/or use social media to promote their services or products, but many have difficulty determining how to maximize this technology to attract customers. One critical method for getting a company noticed online is search-engine optimization.

On October 15, a Search Engine Optimization Workshop is being offered at the Ogemaw County Michigan Works! office located at 2389 S. M-76 in West Branch. The free workshop sponsored by the Ogemaw Economic Development Corporation will explain how to improve websites to gain traffic, including minimizing clutter to assist visitors in finding what they want quickly and efficiently. The workshop will give examples of how the use of key words can improve rankings on various search engines, including Google.

Reservations to attend are requested before July 31. This will give presenters time to conduct the research on attendee websites and develop keysearch words.

For additional information about the workshop and to reserve a spot, please call Mandi Chasey, director of business and economic services, at (989) 345-1090.

Be sure to follow Connect Michigan on Facebook and Twitter for more articles on how technology impacts your life.
