It’s Digital Learning Month at Connected Nation!

By Connected Nation

It’s Digital Learning Month at Connected Nation and we’re looking forward to highlighting the benefits and needs for digital learning programs, partners, and applications.

According to the FCC, 66 million people in the U.S. lack basic digital literacy skills. In addition, 15 percent of people who do not adopt broadband– 10.4 million adults – say that a lack of digital literacy skills is the main reason they do not subscribe to broadband.

Our team at Connected Nation is committed to expanding digital learning and has established several programs to help with this goal. These successful programs include:

Every Community Online.

This program helps to boost skills, provide access to affordable devices, improve workforce capabilities, access to a variety of online curriculum and resources, and enable teleworking opportunities in high-unemployment communities.

Connected.

This technology planning program helps identify and improve broadband adoption and use programs at the community level.

Digital Works.

Our newest digital skills training program provides mentoring and training to workers via the ECO program and is a link to jobs and community revitalization.

Lifeline.

The FCC’s Lifeline Broadband Pilot project aims to increase broadband adoption in low-income communities. Connected Nation is offering digital literacy services to many of the FCC’s Lifeline Pilot Program awardees

If you want to learn more about these programs and our other efforts to bridge the digital divide, join the conversation on Facebook and Twitter and encourage your friends and family to do the same.

Together, we’re connecting the nation and bringing broadband to more schools, businesses, and communities across the country!

Stay-tuned throughout the month to learn more about our digital learning programs and stay connected!
