Obama Administration Releases Report, Highlights Rural Broadband Expansion

Attorney General Schuette relaunches cyber safety initiative to protect kids from predators

Cyber security conference planned for October in Ypsilanti

  Cyber security is the focus of a statewide conference set to take place at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest in October. Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder, a former Ann Arbor venture capitalist, is expected to serve as a keynote speaker at the conference, which has been dubbed Michigan Cyber Summit 2011. It will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 7.   Organizers, including the Washtenaw County Cyber Citizenship Coalition, are also hoping that U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and White House Cybersecurity Director Howard Schmidt will attend.
