The Zoom Out tool allows you to zoom out of your map to view a larger region.
Zoom Out using the Map Navigation controls uses the Zoom Out tool in the Navigation menu to view a larger region of the map.
Zoom Out using the slider scale bar uses the slider scale bar to zoom out from the map.
Zoom Out using keyboard controls zooms out using keyboard tricks.
Note: The Zoom Out tool will not work when the map is zoomed to full extent of the map service.
Zoom Out using the Map Navigation controls
Click the Zoom Out tool from the Tools and Map Navigation menu.
Use your mouse to draw a box around your area of interest. Hold the left mouse button down as your draw your box.
Release the mouse button to submit your zoom out request. The map displays a zoomed out view of the selected location.
Zoom Out using the scale slider bar
Drag the slider bar triangle towards the "-" sign to zoom out.
Alternately, you can click the "-" sign on the slider bar to zoom out. The map will zoom out one increment level at a time.
Zoom Out using the keyboard controls
The keyboard controls do not require that the Zoom Out tool is activated in order to zoom out from the map display.
Hold down the Shift key and use your mouse to draw a box around your area of interest. Hold the left mouse buttons down as you draw your box.
